WHY EXCUSE PROOF MEN?
Because most of us don't need another person telling us what we should do. We already know.
Work out.
Call the friend.
Have the difficult conversation.
Take care of our health.
Spend time with our kids.
Look at the finances.
Apply for the opportunity.
Put the phone down.
The hard part is doing it consistently when life gives us a hundred reasons not to.
That's Where Excuse Proof Men Started.
I’M BUILDING SOMETHING I NEED TOO.
I didn't start Excuse Proof Men because I've mastered every area of my life. I haven't. I've realized I'm capable of being incredibly disciplined in some areas while finding very convincing excuses in others. I can push myself physically and still avoid something else I don't want to deal with. I can work incredibly hard and still have to remind myself that being busy isn't necessarily the same as being present. I can see an opportunity I want and still hear the voice telling me:
You’re not ready. And I’ve realized:
THE EXCUSES CHANGE.
THE PATTERN DOESN’T.
I’m building Excuse Proof Men because I want to be around other men who are willing to recognize those patterns and do something about them. Not men pretending to have everything figured out. Men willing to work on it.
BETTER MEN CHANGE MORE THAN THEIR OWN LIVES.
A young man who develops discipline today may become a better husband tomorrow.
A man who learns to manage his money can change the financial future of his family.
A father who becomes more present can change what his children believe fatherhood looks like.
A successful man who mentors someone younger can save that man years of mistakes.
And a man who becomes physically and mentally stronger is better equipped to carry responsibility when life gets difficult.
That’s why Excuse Proof Men isn’t about one area of life.
WE’RE BUILDING THE MAN OTHERS CAN COUNT ON.
MEN NEED MEN.
Not men who constantly tell us we're right.
Not men who tear us down.
Men who want us to succeed badly enough to tell us the truth.
Men who celebrate our wins.
Men who challenge our excuses.
Men who have already walked roads we're just starting down.
And eventually: Men we can turn around and help ourselves. Excuse Proof Men should become a place where generations of men learn from one another.
What's Your Excuse?
We all have one. The question is whether we're going to keep letting it make decisions for us. Own What's Yours. Do The Work. No Excuses. Be The Example.
